The company recognized a critical gap in accessible 1:1 reading intervention and sought to create an interactive, self-paced program that could scale to thousands of students. They needed a custom subscription-based platform that seamlessly integrated video, audio, and assessments while overcoming the inherent limitations of Moodle as a learning management system. Spiral Scout stepped in to develop a feature-rich, scalable learning platform, ensuring an engaging experience for students, teachers, and parents. Challenges Creating an Engaging, Multi-Media Learning Experience The platform needed to support high-quality video, audio, and real-time feedback while maintaining fast load times. Solutions Custom Solutions for Limitations Implemented custom video and audio enhancements, optimizing streaming and integrating WebRTC to ensure smooth playback and interactivity. Challenges User Experience for Multiple Roles (Students, Teachers, Parents) The platform had to accommodate different user roles with unique access levels and functionality. Solutions Expanded Platform Functionality Designed a user-centric experience, allowing teachers to assign work, parents to track progress, and students to engage seamlessly—all within an intuitive interface. Challenges Subscription & Payment Integration The platform needed to offer secure, recurring payments while managing access levels based on subscription tiers. Within the first year, the platform onboarded over 2,000 students, growing to nearly 3,000 active learners at peak school seasons.
